Alexandra Marks has three decades’ experience reporting national and international news for print and broadcast media. She covered politics, energy, social issues, aviation and the 9/11 terrorist attacks for the Christian Science Monitor, and her wide-ranging experience includes a stint on Capitol Hill as then-Senator John Kerry’s national press secretary in the 1990s. More recently, she wrote an online column about the green, cost-effective renovation of Sheep Dog Hollow, an abandoned farmhouse in Connecticut. She is currently at work on a historical novel, a Victorian farce involving a prude, prostitutes and the birth of the feminist movement. The narrative has been described as “comic and compelling.” She may be reached at alexandrambmarks at gmail dot com.
